For those of you that don’t know, Joe Rogan is the biggest podcaster online. He was also the host of the famous TV Show called Fear Factor, and a commentator for the UFC, and he is a stand up comedian. A few days ago Joe Rogan announced he will be moving his podcast exclusively to Spotify by the end of the year.

It seems Joe will move all of his content to Spotify around September 2020, but will continue to post on Youtube and iTunes and other places until the end of the year, at which point he will move exclusively to Spotify. When he does, his podcast will still remain free just as it’s always been, but people will only be able to watch it on Spotify.

Here is the announcement Rogan made:

The reason we’re posting this article is because we here on Digesale.com are big fans of Joe Rogan’s podcast, and we feel these are news worth sharing as this move has major implications on a number of things – such as the monetary value of podcasters, free speech (or lack of it) on Youtube, the amount of money Youtube pays their content creators, and more.

As for Joe, he’ll make hella bank from this move! He’s not a young man anymore, so there is a chance he decided to cash out on his efforts and creation and chill. His decision could also be influenced by Youtube being tyranical and unreasonable and controlling. At the end of the day, I don’t think this move will benefit Joe in terms of growth for his viewership, and I just hope it won’t hurt him to the point his podcast becomes small and irrelevant.

In any case, if you were not aware of these news, now you are, and you better jump on Spotify and get ready because by the end of the year we’ll be forced to watch JRE there.
